Gallery: Cosmic Cottage
Cosmic Cottage is our little 70′s charmer located near the Siletz Bay on the Oregon coast. We’ve been lovingly restoring her for the past few years and continue to enjoy adding mosaic elements to enliven the space! 
There was an odd little jog in the hallway when we moved in. Thought maybe it once served as the location for the water heater? Our mermaid now rests in thoughtful repose; coveting her treasure and serving as guardian over all who enter.
Waves swirl and curl throughout the back splash of our cosmic kitchen, picking up lots of interesting little tidbits as the tides roll in and out.
Our garden initially had a lot of “ornamentation” which was appreciated by the previous owners. We found loving homes for most of the critters and lawn boys but kept two of the flock of seagulls. They now reside happily upon the arbor.
You think I’m kidding? This was the hose reel…Moooooo!
A new addition in 2009, Gary the Snail honors the gazillionth episode of Sponge Bob Square Pants and has been given the job as official greeter to Cosmic Cottage! Meow!
In the works…the shop mural! This project is temporarily on hold as we focus our energy on the House of Y Not but it’s still a constant presence in the back of my brain. It initially evolved as a trial for the mural project at Good Samaritan hospital but it has the potential to become something very special at the coast. I look forward to more days of listening to the birds in the woods while I work on it.
